The Portuguese Government made public today a Plan for the next period related to Covid-19. We, actually our dear Cláudia, translated the document so you can be aware of the changes. You can also check the portuguese version.

 

Please consider that these decisions can be reassessed every 15 days depending on the evolution of the pandemic ‼️

 

General rules

 

Starting May 4th

 

- Mandatory confinement for sick people and under active surveillance

- Civic duty of home collection

- Prohibition of events or gatherings with more than 10 people. Maximum capacity of 5 people per 100 square meters in enclosed spaces!

- Funerals with the presence of family members are allowed

 

Public transportation

 

Starting May 4th

 

- 2/3 capacity

- Mandatory use of mask

 

Work

 

Starting May 4th

 

- Teleworking regime

 

Starting June 1st:

 

- Partial teleworking regime with lagged schedules

 

Public Services

 

Starting May 4th:

 

- Public service counters (finance, conservatories ..) with prior appointment

- Mandatory use of mask

 

Starting June 1st:

 

- 'Citizen Shops' (Lojas do Cidadão) open

 

Commerce and Catering

 

Starting May 4th:

 

- Local shops: shops with open doors to the street up to 200 square meters - hairdressers, barbers, bookstores and car shops can be open from 10 am - Mandatory use of a mask

- Hairdressers and similar only by appointment

 

Starting May 18th:

 

- Stores with open door to the street up to 400 square meters - Mandatory use of mask

- Restaurants, cafes, pastries and terraces with 50% operation and will close at 11pm

 

Starting June 1st:

 

- Stores with an area greater than 400 square meters or inserted in a shopping center can open - Mandatory use of a mask

 

Schools

 

Starting May 18th:

 

- Some high school students will have classes with the use of a mandatory mask

- Opening of daycare centers

 

Culture

 

Starting May 4th:

 

- Libraries and archives open

 

Starting May 18th:

 

- Museums, monuments, palaces and art galleries open

 

Starting June 1st:

 

- Cinemas, theaters, auditoriums, concert halls with marked seats, reduced capacity and physical distance

 

Sport

 

Starting May 4th:

 

- Practice of individual outdoor sports without the use of changing rooms or swimming pools are allowed

 

Starting May 30th / 31st:

 

- Official competitions of the football league and cup of Portugal resume activity with matches behind closed doors

 

Things will gradually change and this is good news. However please don’t forget we have a civic duty of staying home as much as we still can, so the numbers don’t go up like crazy.
